Commission OKs expansion near medical complex Posted: 20 Oct 2010 11:15 AM PDT EDMOND — The Edmond Planning Commission approved the extension of a 5-year-old planned unit development Tuesday for clinical office space. This 3.9-acre PUD site is proposed directly north of OU Medical Center-Edmond, south of Campbell Street and west of Bryant Avenue. "This is pretty consistent with a highly built-up area with a mixture of multi-family," said Bob Schiermeyer, city planner. No changes are noted in the proposal for the buildings, Schiermeyer said.. One four-story building would 60,000 square feet, while the second building would be three stories tall at 59,400 square feet, Schiermeyer said. "Improvements to Campbell would be required in the site plan," Schiermeyer said. This item will be considered by the Edmond City Council on Nov. 8. In addition, the Planning Commission approved a site plan for Sherwin Williams, 1141 N. Kelly. A Sherwin Williams store is planned to be 24 feet in height with a floor plan of 2,250 square feet. Twenty-two parking spaces are provided. "They've met all our requirements. There's been an extensive review by the site plan review team," Schiermeyer said. Approval of this site plan does not require action by the City Council. jcoburn@edmondsun.com | 341-2121, ext. 114 This entry passed through the Full-Text RSS service — if this is your content and you're reading it on someone else's site, please read our FAQ page at fivefilters.org/content-only/faq.php |
